MADURAI: Train traffic on the Pollachi - Palakkad section is likely to open next month as railways officials are expecting the commissioner of railway safety (CRS)...
New Expresses CHENNAI-TRICHY-DINDIGUL-POLLACHI-PALAKKAD-SHORANUR-ERNAKULAM and MADURAI-DINDIGUL- POLLACHI-SHORANUR-MANGALORE have to be introduced.
Lets first resume cancelled trains. No need to divert Guruvayoor chennai egmore via pollachi route (Two loco reversals needed) instead Guruvayur Chennai should be re routed via Thenkasi only once gauge conversion completed there. Re-route 22629/Mumbai Dadar (T)- Tirunelveli Express (via Konkan) via this route and also make this daily in 2016 rail budget if it is being re-routed. After completing Kollengode - Ollur (Thrissur) new line, Tea-Garden Express can be rerouted via pollachi. A couple of new passanger and Express trains will be beneficial. Also Slip trains of Hapa Tirnuelveli via this route to Kanyakumari and terminate at Kochuveli the other half.
New Express from PALANI TO BANGALORE VIA DINDIGUL-NAMAKKAL- SALEM is needed. it will be very useful
Legendary PGT-MDU passenger is the most expected one. Hope they introduce it . MAQ-MDU day trian , CAN-RMM overnight will be more beneficial
