Rajendra Bridge
The 2 km long Rail-cum-Road Rajendra Bridge opened in 1959 on the Barauni-Mokama Section is the currently the only bridge which provides a rail link between North Bihar and South Bihar; the other one at Varanasi 350 km west and at Farakka in the east.
On an average, every 18 minutes a train moves across Ganges through this bridge (that too on a single BG Bridge).

Expecting a lot from the Ganga Rail-Road bridge in Patna which is more than 2x times its size
it would be helpful for trains coming from Varanasi, Mughalsarai and crossing the bridge via Dildarnagar and entering North Bihar.
it would be useful for Patna Bound trains too.,
But for that the capacity of dildarnagar railway station has to be increased.
and tarighat railway station has just 1 single platform.

On a chill winter morning 13019 Up Howrah - Kathgodam Bagh Express powered by a WAG-7 steadily crosses the mighty Rajendra Pull (Rail cum road bridge) near Hatidah Jn. heading towards Barauni Junction.
Me to my family lives in north Bihar (chhapra and siwan) and my relatives in Patna . whenever I come to Bihar. I have to cross mahatma Gandhi setu which always either in maintainence or closed . so there's a lot of wastage of time..
