Shiv Ganga doing MPS thru a Jn - on every RailFan's bucket list

So finally a huge No. Of rivers takes toll on passenger train operation... APDJ NBQ section is perhaps the only 109 km section in IR where rgerr are more than 20 major river bridges still this section was known for high speed...But finally Shiphung Pass derails.

Even after derailment authorities seems not to learn any lessons...as speed saga continues... 12435 Rajdhani again covered KOJ NOQ in 57 mts...

Yes the derailment is very similar to HWH Rajdhani derailment in Rafiganj..only diff I'd in Rafiganj Rajdhani fell into dry river bed..but here Shiffung Pass broke the steel girders & fell into waterbed.It'll take min 5 days for making Up line operational.As the bridge is totally collapsed.Good thing is Down line is almost 700 metres away & traffic is presently moving through single line.

just think what would have happened if it were also a singled section.The whole connectivity to the region would have come to halt for a week as the whole bridge has collapsed.There is a definite need of an alternate route which Maynaguri-Jogighopa route will provide.APDJ-NJP can act if NCB-NJP route stops,or NCB-GOLAKGANK-FKM will atleast serve if there is any wrong to NCB-FKM.We have seen how AUB-BORA-SGUJ has been instrumental in transporting each and every trains when a rail tanker derailed and oil caught fire at Rangapani.NFR should see and expedite.Just thinking how will APDJ Div manage frm tomorrow on the singled section between Basugaon and Salakati!!!!
