read in news paper that new time table is being postponed to 1st oct 2015 since there will be an overhaul.
any news/list of nwr trains getting speed up.

But I don't think We need any speed up. Already NWR trains maintain good speed in NWR. We need more permanent augmentations of AC coaches. Because I have seen AC tickets remain waiting of many passengers

new trains and augmentation are being regularly taken up at different forums by many people but nobody speak of speeding up of trains. Most of the trains are maintaining same TT even though there has being a sea change in technology leading to electrification and doubling on many sections.
what i am trying to stress is that if the a national level exercise is being done to increase the capacity by speeding up the trains, then we should not lag behing. we should also ask for speeding up of trains wherever possible at an overall level not necessarily in NWR region. eg. TT of 19065/66 can be easily tweaked to reduce the travel time by 1 hr. i have always seen it...

at present NWR dont have infrastructure to speed up trains..
very few trains have high speed lhb coch..
we have single lines mostly
high speed pasenger emd are very few.. just 51 at present..
signalling...
