listen MG lines converted 2 BG is Rajasthan are having 100 kph top speed, but MG lines converted 2 BG in UP, Bihar & NE states still has avg. speed of a MG train, not BG trains. for eg. RNY-RPAN is 125 kms- MG trains earlier 3-3.5 hrs. BG trains now 2.75-3 hrs. This must be 2-2.5 hrs
Rtly said and moreover this is not a hill section like Barak valley also.So easily can be speeded up.NFRs propensity on keeping speeds minimal and giving more passenger trains has been responsible.
Its a newly opened section, may be thats why they kept the speeds low, with the time track will settle and trains will be allowed to notch higher speeds, hope for the best :)
