So the Devnagiri Spelling suggests that we pronounce this name as "Sarmatand" while speaking English or Hindi. The Britishers ended the spelling with "tanr" rather than "tand"... nice snap, any more from the journey? :-D
A video of Gaya jn skipping is there but due to my internet connection Im not able to post it in IRI , it can be available if Whatsapp available, thanks for giving interest
Kindly provide a trip report of this train where you can describe your journey experience. I am thinking of traveling by this train to Punjab in future if it serves good food and runs on time just like the Paschim Express :-)
Short info my berth was A1 29 , the 2AC coach was very Old ,total 31 seats were vacant , DLI-ASN(my source and destini) it arrived DLI 20mins BT , But arrived my Destination 4hrs 30mins late , the peak speed recorded was 117km pH in MGS-Gaya sections , Food quality and quantity same as Poorva , almost better good quality food , Veg-120 and N.Veg-150 , side meals also available, major thing was that it skipped all major skipping stations like ALIGARH,ALLAHABAD,GAYA
