I heard earlier it had no name .. then one night it had some accident with chalukya bears on tuesday and bear family died... I forget area name..
Next whenever train crossed that area on tusday foul smell will come with howling...
then railway changed schedule completely and cross that area in daylight...
people got so afraid stopped booking ac tickets on tuesday also...

Nope , Earlier this train was referred as Kurla express departing at 6:15 from Bangalore city station , it used to have almost the same schedule even in 1997 too. I used to see this train daily at a place called Tiptur. Those days this was the only train to skip Tiptur. It was running 6 days a week. Later it got the name as Chalukya express and the Mysore Counterpart got the name as Sharavathi , similarly Hubli intercity got the name as Siddhaganga intercity.
