Hi, have observed that from past few days banks like ICICI have introduced additional OTP (One Time Password) requirement while booking the tickets, this is sent to your registered mobile number and post this only ticket booking is proceeded. This causes delay in execution of the transaction and many a times (like in tatkal) the tickets get exhausted. While earlier for IRCTC transaction the bank did not have OTP requirement.
Any idea how to bridge this up???
Thanks in advance.

Can't do anything as its on bank security policies to make the transaction secure, alternatively use SBI net banking if possible for faster transactions, they have disabled the feature of OTP for IRCTC.
is it net banking or debit card.
I uses net banking to book ticket. OTP comes, only if your system is not recognized one. If you have already used the laptop/pc for booking ticket, it won't come.
You can try for debit card also. It won't go to OTP.

Even i am facing the same issue with HDFC even though i have used the same system for a long time. Earlier i did not face the issue.
Couple of times already ended up with wait list in tatkal due to a delay in receiving OTP.

go for quick pay IRCTC of sbi internet banking , no need of any OTP, direct login and payment
Otp is for us account security. It gets delayed due to load in system. Use debit card option. Have a 3d secure pin. It will work smooth. No otp required
