RailFans don't miss their train. Why? Because they go to the station HOURS before the actual departure of their Train - to watch OTHER trains depart. - Prince Maan

6th one is absoulte no, WAG7 is the largest fleet of locos present on IR network, and if we were to switch of all WAG-7's on one day, could result in a situation like transport strike currently going on :p , and WAG-7 WAG-5 fleet in total outnumbers the WAG-9/H/Hi/i fleet by a large margin, it would require more than 10 years for half of them to phase out and WAG9 to take charge of IR's frieght deptt.
7th BRC is mostly a passenger locomotive shed and would continue to be in future, although it has some WAG5 variants, major of WR's fright class fleet is with BL. WAG9 looks like a move to train BRC for upcoming WAP-7 fleet in their

roster, LDH can too get some WAP-7 in future, mainly now it is a frieght loco shed(LDH) with fewer number of WAP-4 allotted.
8th Ajni is undoubtedly the best shed for WAG9/H/Hi/i it got holds most number of WAG-9 variants in IR plus its main aim(as heard from senior rfs) was to maintain and overhaul frieght class locomotives hence the less number of WAP-7 here. There was a time when IR was continously allotting WAG-9 to Ajni shed, now it needs additional capacity to home even more locomotives. The WAG-9 fleet of Ajni hauls frieghts in all corners of IR and it has adapted the 3phase frieght class very early, i might be wrong in many of the points stated so corrections are welcome :)
Nagpur was also chosen for maintenance and overhaul of new powerful 12000HP locos which would run on DFC, mostly Ajni staff would take care of them.
