My biggest doubt is , if DVG divison is formed with places mentioned in the article like Haveri to Tumkur, It means MYS divison will lose almost 50% of its area !!...
Then MYS division will have ASK (excluding)- CMNR , MYS- NHY (excluding) , HAS-PADL , HAS-SIGA..

true...i think their r demanding 4 dvg div main becz swr or mys div not reaching expectation of dvg people so ..even mangaluru div formation in line since long tym if mangaluru div becames reality then even mys div ll b axed i think..
No chance for MYS division to be axed and all. MYS is the oldest railway divsion in KA , so there is not even a 1% chance for MYS divison to be shutdown. The jurisdiction may change if DVG divison is formed then it will have till Kadur outer , MYS may get the new line from YPR-HAS in its hands and SKLR-DRU new line. Same way TK section may be transferred to MYS , so MYS divison will get Tumkur - Rayadurga and tumkur-Chitradurga new line. By this way DVG as well as MYS will be benefitted. Regarding Mangaluru division , its a distant dream. it can be included to KR's Karwar division.
I have nothing against DVG getting a new divn. But as a divn HQ, where the trains could be maintained? There are no proper stations in the area (SMET, BAY, HRR, RRU, CMGR, CTA) with pit lines, maint facilities, etc for full fledged divn.
For a new divn to materialise, there should be justifications like more lines added, more trains, more traffic, etc which make the existing set up un manageable and hence carving out new divn. But in SWR areas, none of these things are happening. then how one can justify new divn? First let SWR construct some 500 - 600 kms of new lines and then one can think of one more divn in their areas.

i doubt whether MAQ will become a division sir. If MAQ needs to be a division , i guess KR should be merged with IR, It will take long long time
