mlotlikar 174 blog postsToday on 21st October, the king of IR 12002 Bhopal Shatabdi , traveled the distance between NZM to Bhopal in 8 Hrs 8 Mins ( taking into account a 10 mins travel time from NDLS to NZM & then delay of 18 mins ) & the same distance of NZM to Bhopal was done by an Ordinary SF train 22110 ( NZM - LTT AC express ) in exactly 8 Hrs with 10 mins delay at Bhopal.....8 Mins faster than the King.....Congratulations to all AC Fans for this Great performance by their beloved train after 2 years of Wait.

I do agree that Bhopal Shatabdi has 3 more halts than 22110 but there is sizable difference of at list 25-30 Km / Hr on account of MPS from NZM till Agra & then 10-20 Km / Hr till Bina. In terms of Priority, no one can think of competing with the Bhopal Shatabdi.... the larger question here is can IR reduce the running time of Bhopal Shatabdi atlist by 15-20 mins in both the direction ??? The same was done in case of 12951/2 Mumbai Rajdhani ( though Borivali stop was introduced in just recent past ).... Why this is required because i had traveled in 12001 from Gwalior to New Delhi many times & every time, train reached NDLS by 12.00am Midnight with 20-30 mins of delay.....This will immensely help the passangers
