Next budget my views will be simple:-
1) HWH-NDLS (Via GAYA,PNBE) to have quadrupled line as currently only HWH-BWN section is successful
2) ASR & JAT-MAS via NDLS,BPL,BZA to have quadrupled line
3) NDLS-BCT line to have quadrupled line (follow August kranti route)

800 WAP5/7 is too high (annually). It won't be possible to turn out those many locos in one year, unless of course, multiple locomotive factories exist across India :P
WAP-4s will be be active service for atleast 30 more years.......so you are not going to miss those red beauties anytime sooner........
Btw....in this way....Old isn't Gold....Old consumes more gold.......A P5/P7 is more energy efficient than a than a P-4!

current RM is trying to raise funds, but that is far from what would be required here.
consider this: each P5/P7 costs upwards of INR 12 crore. 800 of them will require around INR 10000 crore
