why express trains are given these much of stops in Kerala?. what is the difference between an express and a passenger?. what's the point in allotting stops for express trains at murukkumpuzha, mayyanad, munrothuruthu, kazhakkoottam, cheriyanad, mararikkulam, thrippoonithura, idappalli, mulanthuruthi, puthukkad, divine nagar, poonkunnam, kadalundi, thirunnavaya, feroke, vallikkunnu, payyoli, valapattanam, kannapuram, thrikkarippur, kottikkulam, uppala, bekal fort, ezhimala, kumbala?. Is there anybody to stop these non sense?. Hiring lots of money from passengers and hiking the charges every now and then and stopping at all local stations.
Unlike other states in India, Kerala is a highly linear state (shapewise) having a collection of many important urban areas at short distances. While other states also have many urban areas, they all rarely fall in an almost straight line alignment like they do in Kerala and hence the halt pattern we see there isn't replicated in other states.
