DC Unfit Loco KYN WCAM3 # 21957 returning back to trip shed after bringing in 12127 Mumbai-Pune Intercity Exp to Pune on Thursday, 07-Jan-2016!

Technically / Theoretically, these locos can haul any train under AC Traction to any long distance place (say like Mumbai to Howrah)! However, the staff (Loco Pilots) in other Divisions / Zones are NOT trained to handle these DC/AC Type Duel Voltage Locomotives. And as per rules, LP/ALP will NOT drive a loco if he/she is not trained to drive that particular class of loco. Similarly, LP/ALP also have to get RLC (Road Learning Certificate) on a particular route / section. If they don't have RLC for that route, they will NOT drive the train on that route. So, considering these facts, WCAM2/2P/3 Locos are (and will always be) restricted to areas in/around Mumbai (or up to ET and NGP) only!
