Instead of Metro line to Airport, why cant they develop Devanahalli. Other stations like Marathahalli (need to be constructed), Thenisandra, Bellandur, Carmelaram can be developed with just few crores investment.
It's funny how these people come up with all kinds of costly, barely feasible projects, while ignoring the existing railway infrastructure, which can be enhanced with only a fraction of the money required for the Metro projects. Airport-YNK-BYPL section barely has any trains and so does the BYPL-Hosur line, and these can be upgraded to run frequent local trains with a minimal cost overhead, unlike metro, which will definitely take more than a decade to complete, with the phase 1 itself now over due by 5 years.
first complete doubling of ynk-cbp,run suburban trains up to cbp, operate bmtc buses from dhl stn to airport. This could provide faster connectivity to airport with less cost/time compare to metro. similarly, complete doubling of bypl-hsra, run suburban trains up to hsra. develop intermediate stations. silkboard-krpuram metro connectivity is much needed.
Namma Metro is classic case of bad planning, Cost overrun and execution delays.

And still no work on Bangalore's most needed IT sector where congestion is maximum.
