Need help in understanding the calculation done in arriving at the ticket charges levied for senior citizens.
I booked two separate tickets for two ladies ,one of them is senior citizen, from Usmanabad to Dadar. The fare summary shows fare as Rs.497 plus reservation charges as Rs.25 and superfast charges as Rs.30 making a total charge as Rs.552. In case of Senior citizen the charge levied is Rs.319. These charges are besides the IRCTC charge of Rs.20. Applying the 50% rate for SRCTZNW I could not arrive at the figure of Rs.319. 50% of 497 is 249 plus 25+30 makes it Rs.304.
