Definitely useful. Not only pave way for Mysore, Bangalore but also easiest route to Hassan, Hubbali, Hyderabad, Nagpur from Kannur/Calicut. This line has huge scope for freight as well so should start double track work initially itself.

Dude , its easy to reach , no doubt in that but we have numerous restrictions in Sakhlespura to Subrahmanya right? Else Mangalore would have got two more trains to Bangalore , The debroy committee has classified that SKLR-SBHR is saturated. This line would be useful only to freights until HMRDA is lifted
