Yes. Initially, when the line was opened in the 1920's there used to be regular mixed services plying on this route. Later on, a single YP used to haul a 2-3 coach passenger between alnavar and dandeli. Shortly before the gauge conversion started on the LD-UBL route, the service was cancelled, citing poor patronage and high running costs. Even many presidency gazettes from the Raj days mention this as a non-profitable short spur and a freight route.
this makes a lot sense. IR has always shown non-eagerness when it comes to starting/maitaining passenger services on small branch lines with dead ends (my parents for also stay at one end of such freight-only line).

It would probably have poor patronage even today except for peak season.
