While I agree that there is huge scope of improvements in the existing security infrastructure of the existing trains, I can't see why people bring bullet trains into every question. Seriously, how does this incident relate to the bullet train[Your logic is as correct as the media outlets saying that India shouldn't invest in space missions since we still have poverty]. And frankly, bullet trains when introduced, would be much safer than the existing ones.
