I mean, its the highest priority train here, "better than Rajdhani" according to its division; considering that no Raj or Durontos run here, has any train OT this one in this sector[under normal cases; loco failures are not an acceptable reason].

It would have been quite weird to see a crawler like Bagh OT a hunk like Vaishali.
Who knows, its ECR where local train crawlers trail superfast and nonstop express train sometimes.

If 12554 is late by 1+ hrs, then couple of times post SPJ, it has been OT by trains bound to Hwh. Reasons can be any thing- from poor controlling to PF issues etc. But yes apart from that possibly never.
Only 1 time i remember it has been overtaken by purvanchal at bachwara otherwise no other time it had been overtaken
