Thanks Sir.I was hoping to see some developments taking place at Bitragunta especially since a large tract of land is lying vacant it can be used
to construct a new Electric Loco Shed or a Diesel Loco Shed.Land procurement is the biggest issue in India apart from Financing a project and since
a huge amount of land is available,a project can be allocated pretty easily if Mr.Venkaiah Naidu takes interest.I don't think Railways has any such land
in

Nellore district apart from Bitragunta so if they can allocate a project it would be welcome.
.
According to some reports that i was told about,When Mrs.Panabaka Lakshmi was a minister at the centre she asked the Railways to prepare a project
report about establishing some Railway Unit in Bitragunta but the study team deliberately gave a negative report to the Railway Ministry because no one
was interested working in a small place like Bitragunta due to which whatever project was said to be given was cancelled which is unfortunate.I hope this time
Mr.Venkaiah Naidu can pursuade Mr.Prabhu to award a project to Bitragunta.Mr.Narayana who is also the Urban Dev. Minister at the state is said to be busy
with the development of Amravati and CRDA so is not taking that much of interest so if Nellore has to get projects it's all upto Mr.Venkaiah Naidu now.
.
The last i heard about upcoming projects in Nellore in relation to Railways was that of IFFCO Kisan S.E.Z entering into an agreement with Central Warehousing
Corporation & Ministry of Railways to develop Railside Warehousing Terminals and Complex at IFFCO's Kisan S.E.Z which is towards the North of Nellore close to
Dagadarthi where the new airport is coming up.You can find the article by doing a quick search on the Google.I think Mr.Venkaiah Naidu must deserve some credit
for getting it through because CRWC is a government owned organization. The land has been lying vacant close to two decades now and the land bank is about
2500 acres or something.Gamesa the wind turbine manufacturing company is also setting up a unit in the S.E.Z.Coca-Cola is also said to be setting up a unit in
the S.E.Z in an area of around 600 acres, don't know if the project is still going on or not.
.
There is a lot of scope to develop Nellore and it's surrounding areas.I was actually tracking the Obulavaripalli-Krishnapatnam rail line and i think the project has
got a funding close to 120 crores in this year's Rail Budget and i think they have laid the line till Rapur, one can find the Railway line on Google Maps somewhere
close to Rapur.I'm hopeful it'll be completed in the next two-three years if all goes well.It got a few tunnels as well so should be a scenic route. :)

I don't think State Govt has enough land at Krishnapatnam.I hope to see a station at Krishnapatnam but that looks difficult because the land rates have gone up like crazy
with all the projects that have come up or coming up so unless State government can offer a huge land bank i don't think Railways will spend unnecessary money on developing
Krishnapatnam especially since it's been run well under Mr.Prabhu who is a wise Chartered Accountant as well.Though i agree Krishnapatnam is the single biggest contributor to

Bezwada Division and S.C.R makes a bucket load of profit due to their operations at Krishnapatnam and it would be nice to Krishnapatnam getting rewarded for it's contributions.

What is the current earnings of Nellore Main? You mentioned it needs to cross 50 crores to be given A1 status, where does it stand now?I hope it's not that far off
Can you provide me a link where i can see it's present earnings?

So it's already at 50.That's great to hear.I guess the progression from here on in will be swift with a large workforce basing itself in and around Nellore.
Similarly i expect an increase in the floating population as well.Nellore needs regular services to Chennai and Bezwada and additional services towards
Tirupati and Bangalore.
.
The

works for the 2nd phase for Krishnapatnam-Obu. rail line are underway. They are constructing a Rail over Rail Bridge and Rail over Road Bridge just
after Venkatachalam right where the Chennai-Delhi trunk line branches off to Krishnapatnam.I think this is the only place in the busy BZA-MAS section
where we'll see a Rail over Rail bridge when once completed. At present four to five pillars have been laid if i am not mistaken. The rail line is heading towards
the famous Kasumuru Dargah or someplace close.
.
Given that a lot of tunnel work was involved during the 1st phase and no such geographical challenges from here on,i expect the 2nd phase to move at a quicker
pace.Would be great if someone from that region can post some photographs to show work-in-progress.
.
The distance from Kasumuru to Adurupalli(Spelling) is roughly 30 kms. if we take a straight line.Adurupalli will probably be the closest rail head to Krishanapatnam-Obu.
ral line.Adurupalli is part be part of the Srikalahasthi-Nadikudi rail line and if when completed will help the development of backward areas in Nellore and Ongole dist.
May be if Krishnapatnam becomes a big industrial hub, they can lay a branch line from Kasumuru to Adurupalli and connect the two lines.
.
Hopefully happy times are ahead of Nellore and Ongole districts.
