1. GNWL will be maximum RAC which is not a comfortable journey. I think it's worth paying a few bucks extra for a more comfortable ride.
2. Flight is definitely a good alternative at around same price as tatkal. But one misses the thrill of train if one is a railfan and enjoys this type of thing.
