Mangalore Mail shares its RSA with Chennai bound West Coast Express. Diesel loco which hauls WC till SRR will take care of MAQ Mail from SRR. On that particular day, West coast express was running late by 4 hours. West Coast express had stopped for almost 2 hours in both Payyanur and Kannapuram stations. This was done to lift the derailed loco of Kannur - ALLP executive express. Even though loco went of the track in shunting line, the cranes which came from SRR and ED was occupying main lines. Hence traffic was disrupted between Kannur and Chirakkal.

with no option left, SRR gave ERS WDG 3A to Mail. WDG 3A struggled a lot to maintain the TT. Even though, initial start from station was at good pace, further achieving higher speed seemed very tough. By the time, it could reach, next station will be in sight. Max speed which GPS based app showed was 100KMPH between CAN and PAZ. 21 min late start from SRR, at 41min(-10min extra halt at CAN) late at PAZ clearly showed the struggle of ERS kid inspite of many slacks...
