A high speed rail from CAN to TVC is under consideration of kerala government which costs approx 1.2 lac cr. and Govt of Kerala has been appointed DMRC for the possibility studies and report was submitted on this july, but again govt of kerala has told DMRC to recheck the alignment by omitting the high populated areas. As per DMRC studies the plan proposed is 146 KMS of Under ground line and 190 Kms of elavated line.
In a place like Kerala where land aquisition is itself a major problem, simply cannot understand as to how do they come with such proposals. DMRC might have got a feel of the same in the ongoing Kochi Metro rail project hence all the more surprising tht they did not anticipate the same while making the proposal
The first focus of Kerala Govt to be complete the doubling and electrification work in quick phase.
