Problem not only lies in the civil aviation policy,it also lies on poor management of ticketing services in IR...
Just imagine may how cheaper be the DEL BOM fare,pax for KOTA,SWM,MTJ etc still depends on the Rajdhani only,but when a prospective customer tries to book a tkt from IR ticket booking server,it always shows him RLWL...Pax from a not so healthy Rly backgrounfd would find very difficult to apprehend whether this RLWL will confirm or not because Rajdhani has very less chances of confirmation in Road Side Quota.From the given screenshot we can clearly assume a mere RLWL turns into 200+ availability in current booking,so if IR is loosing direct DEL BOM pax why not give a chance to Tier II pax...

i dont think surge pricing is going to end.
i checked for 24th Dec'16 tickets in Rajdhani. dynamic fare of Rs 500 was applicable.
As per IR statement, surge pricing was implemented for 3 months. hence after 9th Dec'16 surge pricing should have been stopped.

yes but why complain if we are getting cheaper tickets of air comparison to rail ticket.you can imagine we booked delhi to udaipur flight ticket in just 1400 now whats the 3ac fare of any train from delhi to udaipur? but yes for small cities people this surge pricing does not matter but for kota delhi mumbai people it matters.
