Bailadila means hump of an Ox.
-- Akash Nagar is the location of iron ore mines, access to which is controlled by NMDC.
-- The train carries both passengers as well as iron ore down the plains.
-- The station and lines built with Japanese collaboration.
-- Araku station, just before Shimliguda, has a massive lake- Jolaput resorvoir-- to enjoy.
-- Borra caves, the deepest caves in India, 95 kms from VSKP, located at 1400 m ASL, are tourists delight. They reportedly formed due to slightly acidic water from the Gosthani river that originates at Borra caves. They were discovered by William King George of the GSI in 1807.
-- Above these caves run the Araku - Vizag line.
-- And finally, three electric engines are deployed daily to haul the train due to extreme load and steep gradient.
