Yes Sir. I totally agree with your point. But normally LPs lower down the rear panto if they are reversing or going to Trip shed. May be Trip shed or Loop lines where Locomotives are parked are located on the side from where the train had arrived. If this loco starts accelerating backwards , it may pose a risk to the OHE . Places where fog is prominent , Lps raise Front Panto to avoid frost settled on the surface of the OHE as frost may degrade performance.
