A new route from Chennai-Trichy-Madurai(493)-Virudhunagar(536)-Siva kasi(620)-Tenkasi(659)-Shencottai(667)-Punalur(716 )-Kollam(760)- shall open up with the completion of the last remaining stretch of the route.
This route shall be shorter than the MAS-TVC mail route (853km) by a good 93 kms. The Chennai-TVC train route via Shencottal route shall also be lesser than MAS-TVC mail by 93 km.
So a good alternative Chennai-TVC route shall open up and we can expect the old MG MS-QLN mail or express to be introduce in BG with prized extension to...
