Two coaches of this train derailed near Malda Rly Station. Later on Faraka Express hit these coaches.

After begal railways accidents are common these days. But its shame none of these RMs have any ethics. They never quit. Another unfortunate thing is no one can rescue india from this weakest priminister Mr Manmohan. I praying god for the early recovery of the injured.

An important technical point related to the accident at Malda...Is it Human Error????There were 11 minutes to avoid the crash - and the resultant casualties. It is not clear if the guard of the express train, who was unhurt, called up the nearest station, Jamirghata, as he is supposed to. And if he did, why didn't the stationmaster stop the Azimganj-Malda passenger train at Jamirghata instead of allowing it on a collision course with the derailed express. The railway logbook says the the Bangalore express deralied near post 279/9, between Jamirghata and Gour Malda stations, at 6.58pm. The passenger train rammed into the derailed engine of the express at 7.09pm, says the logbook. Railway rules say in case...
