ALD does not need metro, may be after 10 years or so, may be needed!
Many Metro Projects are being pursued not on the actual needs but on the interest taken by State Govts/ Municipal Corporations. Cities with 30 lac population are generally considered large enough to have Metro Network. Allahabad has a low population and there are about 40 cities larger than Allahabad. Moreover Allahabad is also not growing a fast enough.

Correct, similarly a news of Metro in Gorakhpur & Patna put me off simply because they just not need it.
