as long it takes around 20 hours, it will be great.
consider this, for instance: MAS-SNSI does KJM to SUR in 12 hour 20 mins, and reaches SUR at 03:50. SC-LTT duro does SUR-LTT between 04:00 to 11:00 i.e. in 7 hours.
Long story short, the route is doable in 20 hours (even if you account for time lost in between), but there is limited will from those in power.

irks me is there are SF's on Mumbai-solapur stretch, and on Solapur-Bangalore stretch, but when it comes to going from end to end, all of a sudden problems start appearing :/

Ur point is practically executable and very valid for eg-even 22133/34 ypr to Sur covers in 11hrs 50mns so if it get extended or given dedicated SF train havibg similar speed and TT can make it to 19-20hrs to cover Mumbai to sbc.in addition elocos are already running till wadi and Daund to Mumbai is electrified and doubled so in near future there must be a dedicated SF.i don't know when will swr will awake its now CR turn to raise above time

If we take the example of Durontos:
LTT-Wadi stretch is covered by LTT-SC Duronto in 9hr 30mins
Wadi Bypass-YPR stretch by DEE-YPR Duronto in 7hrs.
So definitely 17hrs is also possible if it gets extremely high priority.

exactly this is the real reason why Mumbai-Bangalore via Guntakal, Gulbarga, Solapur Humsafar SF will be real hit and can make the private bus lobby a hole in their profits... even 19 hours is fine between YPR-mumbai
