Am going to hyderabad from Coimbatore and i already have a booked ticket for 12624 TVC MAS MAIL upto MAS....the problem is i did not book the ticket from MAS to HYB presently....So i am planning to book from MAS to SC in this train on 12-08-2017...Should I go for Tatkal or normal booking???Because i've heard that from end to end tickets are easily available in this train....I could have booked in Sabari Express but I have some work in chennai so this break journey
Book in 2AC if possible ...sleeper pe tho you have close to 120+ RAC ...at present for 12th august MAS-SC have 62 waitlist in Sleeper and 14 in 2AC ...
This have 4 2AC coaches and you have better chances of confirmation if you are going by the general booking ...
But suggestion would be to try in Tatkal ...

I prefer AC only for day time travel or Long distance travel....Night travel SL is fine and damn cheap..So i thought to try in tatkal....But again there's the dreadful Premium Tatkal....
yeah Charminar does have premium tatkal that's why you can directly book in 2AC of charminar during tatkal which you surely get a ticket ...
Even 600-700 rs is reasonable as compared to 1600 for MAS to SC in Charminar na.I think I will take my chances in SL Tatkal. I have an exam tomorrow in the morning and i'm thinking of giving the ticket to an agent for booking...They will have quota na...
I don't think now a days Agents have a saperate quota to book ...all the agents ID's are barred form making bookings during tatkal hours ...
they either rhave to make arrangements to go to PRS counters and book tickets or make booking from their normal ID's ...
you have chances in sleeper but just to be on safe side, suggested you 2A option as this train got 4 2AC coaches ..
