I read minor civil works started from Gadag side in one news report during this foundation stone laying time. Exactly from where the line starts? Not after Gadag station, but near Bannikoppa right?
Even Kushtagi is decent sized town. But yes Ilkal and Gajendragada would have been better.
That Gangavathi line if proper funds had been allocated in the last 3 years, would have reached Sindhanur by now.

yes Near to Bannikoppa and yeah minor civil works Started as KA govt Handed some 50km line to Railways but as you said IR not funding yet.But from British periods this line was planned but Due hyderbad Nizam Not cooperate so the IR utilised funds of this line to SC-mahbubnagar-dhone line that time. but British period plan was to connect SC to Goa via Wadi,Ilkal ( ilkal have granites Resoource which is why it is Prefered in original plan) but now in the name of Hyderabad ktk progress they changed via Kushtagi yelburga to cover more hyderabad Karnataka region in this line. gadag is just for name but line starts from some other place in hyderabad karnataka region.I think ppl of gajendragad Ilkal needed this very much and it will be more feasible too compared to present new route of IR.

sorry Not IR that time it was SMR & GIPR,MSM railways under british period and this Gadag-Wadi project at that time was proposed by SMR and Nizam of Hyderabad.

Guys Anyone have info that who is the Main contractor for Hotgi-Kudgi ? Because i heard in one interview of Konkan railway one officer he was saying we have Railway projects of NTPC @ kudgi and in orissa.And who might be Contractor for Kudgi-Gadag.please share the info if any one knows

The work on the RoB I spoke of almost a year ago seems to have stopped work. But now they are burning the midnight oil to complete. Was able to click but since the bus was fast moving it isn't clear.
