At this time of third rajdhani exp for mumbai I would like to say that railways is biased to south on rajdhani exp. If you see history after 1972 in south the first rajdhani was given to bangalore in 1992, dont know which govt was there in 1972 when it happened and why south was excluded for 20 years, even the LHB coaches were allotted late and chennai rajdhani running twice a week for 24 years when several of those after this have become thrice or daily. Also the rajdhani in south were not as popular as the north, who is the reason for this? why this disparity indian railway??
airfares are comparable for Chennai Delhi.
plus too much travel time.
Kolkata/Mumbai/Patna/Ahmedabad has mostly evening departing reaching Delhi next day morning, people can go to office/business after overnight journey.
same not possible with Chennai/TVC

Any idea when MAS Raj started?

As I said above Chennai got it 24 years ago in 1993. Also, the speed of this train seems to be less compared to some others as per list. Chennai Delhi Duronto runs 2 days a week and Garib Rath 1 day a week.
