* AC bus operators are charging Rs 60/- & 2,640/- for one way and monthly pass of Churchgate-Bandra stretch, and IR proposing to charge Rs 125-140/- & Rs 5000-6000/- respectively, in spite of enjoying huge advantage of cheaper electric fuel & economies of scale! Either IR want to profiteer or it is extremely inefficient or both may be correct!!
* Due to extremely high fares people would not like to go travel in ac locals (except in summer), and due to very low frequency of ac locals, no body would prefer for a monthly pass charging for about 20 too & fro journeys a month.
