Yes initially there was line between Hubli(then) and Goa passing Londa and they made junction from Londa towards Belgaum(then) and later on continued till Miraj to join Kolhapur - Poona MG line. There was Goa - Mumbai MG express via Bgm, Mrj with changeover in Poona to BG train, total travel time was near to 24 hrs. Original Poona - Bangalore(then) MG express later on converted as Miraj - Bangalore MG Mahalaxmi Express(24 hrs) and current day Rani Chennamma express is same, along with this there was Miraj - Mangalore(then) Fast passenger via Ubl, Ask, Has (more than 24 hrs).
