A train from Asn/Dgr to NJP can provide better connectivity to Siuri with North Bengal. Halt of Maldah Figha exp at Siuri can give it a better connection with places like Bankura, Kharagpur, Midnapur, Kathi.
Not sure whether Siliguri should have been there in the list. For Siliguri already NJP is there which is one on the best stations in India. However, that's only my personal opinion.
Purulia is more neglected by IR...
