This is reg the monsoon timings in Konkan route. I do not understand what purpose this serves. Due to this scheduled late running of trains on this route, what is happening on most of the occasions is the trains are stopped at all unscheduled places for a long time with the purpose of sticking to the schedule.
Can't this be done away with? A total of 4-6 hours is lost during the whole trip.

The theory is right sir, but in practice the trains run the way they run during normal times. Just to make them go as per monsoon timings, they are stopped at various places. Speed is the same. If and when there is problem, it can be attended to then. Where is the need to delay every thing for a whole period of 4-5 months? This doesnt sound sensible. Let KR express from their experience during all these years.
