How to Know If ticket is Booked From PRS or Internet (E-Ticket)
If its PRS/I-Ticket you will have counter printed ticket right or if e-ticket you need to take printout :)
Earlier they used to give in PNR enquiry of indianrail.gov.in, but i guess they removed in the new website i guess. Now only in chart.
Also usually if you check PNR status on official site earlier it used to show in brackets if its a E-ticket now it doesn't.
There is one option in irctc, if you login, using the new feature 'counter ticket cancellation'. If its a counter ticket then OTP will be received i guess, otherwise 'No OTP' i guess. I am not sure if it will send OTP even though if it is E-ticket :). There are complete instructions on the right side and it might be helpful with out using the final 'Submit'.
