Aligarh(ALJN) is one of the stoppage of 12561/12562, Swatantrata Sainani Express out of 15 halts between NDLS & DBG in today's date. When I am planning to book my ticket in 3AC from ALJN to SPJ by this train of 01/01/2012, it indicate that "ALIGARH(ALJN) IS DELETED FROM THE HALT OF THIS TRAIN(12562) FROM 01/01/2012." kINDLY ANY ONE CONFIRM THE LATEST STATUS REGARDING HALTS OF THIS TRAIN 12561/12562, S. S. EXPRESS FROM 01/01/2012.

Swatantrata Sainani will not stop @ ALJN while it move from NDLS to Darbhanga!!
But will stop @ ALJN while it come from Darbhanga to NDLS!!
U booked for the route DBG-NDLS, which do have ALJN as stoppage!!

Thank you for reply. If ALJN is the halt of 12561(DBG->NDLS) then WHY NOT ALJN is a HALT of 12562(NDLS->DBG).

plz reply of this ques. that "from 01/01/12, 12561, sawtantrata sainani exp(dbg->ndls) will stop at aljn. but 12562, sawtantrata sainani exp in returning from ndls to dbg will not stop at aljn". i cannot understand this logic. kindly any one help me. plz reply with authentic reference.

There are certain stoppages, which are provided for trains approaching the destination ,but not when train originates. It is done due to operational reasons. For south bound trains originating from New Delhi, there is no stoppage at Nizamudin but same trains stop at NZM when approaching NDLS. Similarly for north bound trains, when approaching NDLS, many trains have stoppage at Sabzi Mandi Station, but when same trains depart from New Delhi, there is no stoppage at Sabzi Mandi.
similarly towards Delhi does not halt at GYN in return halts at GYN
