- Gomati express when introduced, was the fastest train between NDLS & LKO, and was in the league of fastest intercity trains on IR network, which now has been down graded to current status. Introduction of Shatabdies, Rajdhanies, GRs, AC expresses etc premium trains have taken the sheen out of this train. Temporary Cancellation of this legendary train is a very sad news for rail fans esp. the ones belonging to the region.
