Freights are also present but not too high like we see in BAY-HPT-UBL line. There are many mines near Ballari and also some Manganese mines near Amrithapura. Freights would mostly be waiting at JRU and too less at intermediate stations. In my 2 times of travel on this line by 18111 I saw crossings with freights only twice in BAY-Molakalmaru section, none in Molakalmaru-JRU section. But JRU would be having 3 freights waiting to depart each time I saw.
