Surat railway station is the only railway station in the world where the trains comes at first floor which makes it a special place..

a small station on KR called Canacona is on the second floor...
u r wrong, surat is not the only train station in the world to have platform on 1 st floor, Toronto- Canada has 13 platforms on 1at floor
Even New Alipurduar Station is also in 1st Floor.The Waiting Room,Dormitory,Unreserved Ticket Counters,PRS Counters,Crew Booking Lobby,ASM,SS Office etc arein the Ground Floor,whereas PF#1,2,RPF Barrack,Goods Booking Office,Jan Aahar Stall & many vendor shops are in the First Floor.This is nothing new.
NJP & SGUJ Stations are more peculiar.Someone if been to Siliguri would know at least.
