* It is not correct to state that "India has traditionally remained dependent on roads to meet a large part of its logistics needs".
* Fact is India had been almost totally dependent on Railways for freight transportation with a share of 89% in 1950-51 which has gradually fallen down to about 30% today and continues to fall.
* DFC is the only ray of hope to for IR to regain a part of its lost market share.
