I have heard there is fine of rs.200/- in trains for boading with WL ticket. Is it true? from when will this come into act?
By rule , Boarding in reserved coaches with WL tckt is not allowed. But it seems partial waitlisted passengers can board,if their co passenger in the same PNR can adjust their berth/seat
You can board the Train with wait list ticket ( Only I-Ticket and PRS booked Waitlist ticket) except Duranto , Shatabadi, Rajdhani, Janshatabadi Yuva and Garib Rath trains but can not travel in Reserved Compartment. This rule is very old but not implemented in regular base due to sympathy to WL Passenger. Now IR want to Implement strictly to avoid harassment to confirm passenger in reserved compartments.
Till the date there was no fine on passengers. they just ask to deboard. It seems now they want to impose fine over the ticket. of rs. 200/-. I want to ask regarding that.
