* All the BG trunk lines are designed for maximum speed of 160kmph, but they have many hurdles like curves, weak bridges, track renewal etc. Even a single speed restriction over just 500m cause reduction in train speed for many kilometres on its either side. * Delhi-Agra track is supposed to have best track geometry for high speed operation. Had the track been real SHS track, Gatimaan would have taken 90 minutes instead of 100 minutes, because 160kmph is attained over a portion of stretch.
