So will RM say now we have upgraded the tracks and trains are running with improved punctuality , its sabka vikaas....
They can now continue with the blocks and yet show that the trains ran on time. What a way to show to higher authorities. The best part is the ridiculous reason mentioned 'This has been done with a view to providing travelling public with the revised timings
Dhanbad Alleppey in any case used to reach Alleppey around 7:20 or even before . Now revised time is 19:55.
So basically 9 hours from Coimbatore till Alleppey !!!

Railways have issued a clarification regarding the recent revision in timings of many trains as a temporary rearrangement of timings. In view of the extensive Rail Safety Track Works going on in Southern Railway resulting in the daily late running of trains in various divisions, Southern Railway has re-arranged the arrival timings of certain trains to enable passengers to accurately know the correct time of arrival at their destinations.
Accordingly, 92 trains have been re-timed in Thiruvananthapuram, Palakkad, Salem and Chennai Divisions with effect from 13th June 2018. Majority of the trains have been rationalized to the extent of 30 minutes only. One or two trains have been rationalized to the extent of 45 to 60 minutes.
