Wait how can you say this bridge is not useful . dont misguide the rail enthusiasts here on forum by telling k log ticket nhi lete is rail route pe. this bridge connect patliputra to SEE and many imp trains as of now ply through this bridge. also dont get confused with patna digha line and ppta see 4.5 km rail cum road bridge. the above posted pic of lalu rabri is of patna digha passenger and digha is a locality in patna itself.. it has also been proposed to remove that local track and further a 4 lane road would be constructed there. thanks

The bridge is useful short distance intercity trains from patna to nearby cities kike muzaffarpur, barauni, narkatiyaganj, Jaynagar, raxaul do operate and bridge is useful.
But high expenditure incurred on the bridge demand a very high traffic and revenue for financial justiication, all the above trains are low revenue trains.

Brother this pahelja digha ghat bridge is basically constructed for connecting two parts of bihar across ganga river and yeah apart from the services mentioned by you trai. Towards lko gkp and most importantly almost every non stop train to northeast from delhi mumbai side passes through this bridge in its initial phase itself reducing some traffic on the old and heavily congested hatidah bridge. Therefore it's extremely important bridge nd a big cost for this bridge is dedicated against the giant submerging area of the ganga river in the locality
