It bypass MGS so expect some 10-15 mins more. I agree that Shatabdi potential is not there on this route. Even for JS after Electrification I would say 8 hours should be sufficient (being a non AC train).
I think before electrification of complete JBP KTE ACOI , less than 9 hours is risky
What has electrification got to do with this?

JBP ACOI in 6.5 -7 means , 3 hours for ACOI BSB, ab Shatabdi Ko HOG pe chalaye toh jyada accha hai , speedwise toh sayad kuch Ni hoga par energy efficient aur environment friendly toh Eloco hi hai :)
