* Panvel-Vasai-Viraar corridor shall be trunk corridor connecting most of the extended suburbs of Mumbai in a one rail route, interconnecting the 3 trunk suburban corridors of Mumbai i.e. Western, Central and Harbour line.
* This corridor shall immensely help decongestion and spreading out of Mumbai Metropolitan area.

Presently MMRDA already covers this area. Biggest advantage would be felt if they quadruple Virar-Dahanu section simultaneously with this one. Minor side benefit could be some north/northwest/gujrat bound trains can be started from Panvel.
